Auyuittuq Aviation Inc. is the Qikiqtaaluk’s premier Inuit-owned helicopter provider serving Baffin Island. Its ownership includes a group of business savvy Inuit investors who control 68% of the company as well as minority owners Air Tindi and Great Slave Helicopters, each of which own a 16% stake in the company. All fixed-wing flight operations for Auyuittuq Aviation are conducted by its minority partner Air Tindi.
Pronounced “Ah-you-we-took” the company takes its name from Auyuittuq National Park located on the Cumberland Peninsula. Auyuittuq means “land that does not melt” in Inuktitut.
